Role Overview The Sales Team Leader will lead and motivate a team of sales advisors to achieve and exceed sales targets across motor insurance products. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture. The successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compliance within a regulated setting. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales advisors to achieve individual and team KPIs. Conduct team briefings, performance reviews, and regular one-to-one coaching sessions. Promote a positive, customer-centric, and high-energy team culture. Sales Performance Drive new business, renewal, and cross-sell performance targets. Monitor sales activity and conversion metrics to identify performance opportunities. Support advisors with complex or high-value customer interactions. Operational Excellence Ensure adherence to company policies, FCA regulations, and data protection requirements. Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain accuracy and service standards. Manage workload allocation, scheduling, and attendance to maximise team output. Reporting & Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management. Analyse performance data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Training & Development Identify skills gaps and deliver targeted coaching and development sessions. Support onboarding and professional growth of both new and existing staff. Key Skills & Attributes Proven leadership experience in a sales environment, ideally within motor or general insurance. Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Motivational and goal-oriented leadership style. Analytical mindset with commercial awareness and problem-solving capability. Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable to change. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a sales leadership role within insurance or telesales. Experience working in a regulated insurance brokerage (motor insurance preferred).
