Head of Compliance opportunity working with a top performing global insurer. In this role, you will be reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and lead both Advisory and Financial Crime operations. Key Responsibilities: • Drive improved compliance standards through clear guidance and fair challenge. • Embed regulatory requirements and customer focus into all activities. • Support and influence senior management and external stakeholders on compliance matters. • Stay informed of regulatory and business changes. • Share compliance expertise across the business. • Escalate key issues to the Head of Compliance and senior leadership. • Develop, implement, and enhance Compliance procedures. • Act as Deputy to the Head of Compliance when required. • Set and review objectives for direct reports. • Provide strategic direction, training, and governance to the Advisory Team. • Ensure the Advisory Team supports the business on regulatory issues, queries, and change initiatives. • Oversee the External Change Review Group (ECRG) process, tracking legal and regulatory changes. • Manage an effective Relationship Management model. • Act as Compliance Consultant on new propositions and projects. • Allocate Compliance support for internal projects and assess related risks. • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. • Oversee the work of the Data Protection Officer and Financial Promotions Team. • Lead second-line Financial Crime governance, policies, and controls. • Deliver accurate and insightful Financial Crime reporting and MI. • Manage engagement with regulators, trade bodies, and law enforcement on Financial Crime matters. • Oversee execution of Financial Crime activities including advice, reporting, investigations, and stakeholder engagement. • Lead and manage the second-line Financial Crime team. Skills and Experience: • Experience in leading teams across both financial crime and advisory within an insurance carrier (property and casualty or life preferred).
