A leading global specialty insurer with operations across multiple regions is seeking an FPA Reinsurance Analyst to join its International Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, high-performing finance function within a market-leading organisation known for innovation, expertise, and strong values. You’ll play a key role in supporting the financial reporting, analysis, and control of reinsurance data across international entities. Working closely with finance and reinsurance operations teams, you’ll ensure data accuracy, provide insightful analysis, and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the wider FP&A and Reinsurance teams. Key Responsibilities • Ensure accuracy and integrity of reinsurance (RI) data in the General Ledger, across legal entities and lines of business. • Support the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting on RI matters (GAAP/STAT/Schedule F). • Perform reconciliations and analysis to validate RI balances and system data flows. • Assist in producing analysis and commentary on reinsurance premiums, recoveries, ceding commissions, and RI debtors/creditors. • Develop and maintain reinsurance financial metrics, KPIs, and dashboards. • Strengthen the control environment through improved data visibility, quality, and integrity. • Support the month-end close process, including journal review and control testing. • Liaise with internal and external auditors on reinsurance-related matters. • Build strong relationships across Finance to provide insights, transparency, and decision support. • Contribute to ongoing projects and continuous improvement within FP&A and the wider Finance function. Requirements • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills, with experience working with financial ledgers and reinsurance data. • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and data accuracy. • Excellent Excel and data visualisation skills. • Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels. • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
