We are seeking a motivated and analytically minded FP&A Analyst to join an innovative and fast-growing Lloyd’s Syndicate. This newly created role will play a key part in developing the organisation’s financial planning and analysis capabilities, supporting the wider Finance function and collaborating across departments to deliver meaningful insights and enhance decision-making. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, providing in-depth analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making • Take ownership of specific deliverables within planning and reforecasting cycles, including preparation of outputs, data submissions, and presentations to senior management • Prepare financial reports, budgets, and management information (MI), including variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders • Collaborate with other departments to support business partnering initiatives, ensuring financial alignment across teams • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools to enhance data quality, efficiency, and reporting accuracy • Conduct research and complex variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations for improvement • Support the implementation of new planning and forecasting systems and tools • Perform ad-hoc analysis and maintain dashboards and databases to monitor key financial metrics • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory developments, sharing knowledge across the Finance team Skills & Experience: • 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent) within financial planning and analysis • Strong understanding of financial statements within the (re)insurance or Lloyd’s market • Excellent Excel skills; experience with planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, TM1, Adaptive Insights) advantageous • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis • Proactive approach with curiosity to understand the story behind the numbers
