Edenbrook are currently recruiting a Senior Tax Accountant for a global, rapidly growing insurance broker. This role will manage tax accounting and reporting activities, reporting to the head of tax, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of underlying data and corporate tax compliance. This role will focus solely on Corporate tax and will help support all direct tax affairs across the UK and Europe Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • To advise internal stakeholders about tax implications to inform business planning • Awareness of the Finance business plan to appropriately align service delivery and to inform involvement in team business planning • Assist in liaison with tax authorities to handle disputes, tax recovery and audit resolution • Monitor tax legislation, regulations and rulings • The refinement of process, procedures and systems to continuously improve the efficiency of tax accounting activities • Liaison with tax authorities as necessary to ensure requirements are understood and complied with • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including tax authorities and internal and external auditors • Advise on tax matters relating to the business operations, service companies and special purpose entities • Undertaking all UK corporation tax compliance and quarterly reporting • Involvement in the production of reports ensuring accurate reporting and Management Information in line with agreed timescales • Involvement in ad hoc projects to provide taxation input The ideal Candidate should have: • Be ATT qualified with the desire to obtain CTA qualification • Be a qualified Accountant, preferably ACCA or equivalent • Have Big 4 or in-house corporate tax experience • Have proven experience of working with all levels of an organization • Have taxation experience within a complex financial services organization • Have up to date knowledge of relevant taxation legislation • Have an excellent understanding of taxation best practice • Have some understanding of international tax issues
