Edenbrook are partnering with a leading International Professional Services firm on a Senior Manager Corporate Reporting Advisory opportunity. Locations include London, Manchester or Reading.
General responsibilities
• Collaborate with Managers through Partners across AQD, Audit, and the wider firm
• Foster an open, constructive environment for technical accounting support
• Contribute specialist financial services expertise (e.g. Banking, Fintech, Insurance) to CRT outputs
• Support and supervise junior team members
Specific responsibilities
• Review annual reports for a portfolio of listed and high-risk companies, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and regulations
• Provide practical solutions to complex financial reporting issues and advise junior team members
• Deliver financial reporting training and updates internally and externally
• Develop tools and guidance for firm-wide use
• Produce articles and publications on financial reporting topics
• Assist with draft responses to external consultations (legal, regulatory, reporting)
• Monitor industry developments and drive appropriate team actions
• Coach and support junior members across CRT and AQD
The ideal candidate
• Be ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent
• Be a Senior Manager in a technical team or have other relevant experience in technical financial reporting
• Exhibit a strong working knowledge of:
• IFRSs, UK GAAP, and the Companies Act (IFRS 9, IFRS 17 specifically)
• Sector specialism for financial services, particularly Banking and Alternative Finance, Fintech or Insurance.
