We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing Speciality Insurer to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant. The successful candidate will internal expert for the company’s enterprise finance system, supporting day-to-day finance operations while implementing, configuring and maintaining the platform to ensure accurate reporting, and smooth processes. Key responsibilities; • Lead implementation, configuration and ongoing development of the finance system • Support system upgrades, enhancements and new module rollouts • Participate in testing, validation and user acceptance processes • Maintain clear documentation of system configurations and finance processes • Act as system owner and subject matter expert for the finance platform • Manage system structures including chart of accounts, dimensions, access, workflows and controls • Ensure system supports accurate reporting across multiple standards and regulatory requirements • Design and maintain financial data structures and support system integrations • Support core finance operations including month-end, reporting and reconciliations • Drive process improvements through automation, user support and audit readiness The ideal candidate should have but not limited to: • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) • Background working in a finance or accounting role with exposure to financial reporting and operational finance processes. • Insurance industry experience desirable; start-up or high-growth environment advantageous. • Comfortable working with datasets and performing extract-level analysis using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
