An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a leading insurance business in a senior finance leadership role, driving performance, profitability and sustainable growth. This is a highly influential position, sitting at the heart of underwriting and capital decision-making, with responsibility for shaping reinsurance, investment and financial performance strategy. You will operate as a trusted partner to executive leadership, working at the intersection of finance, actuarial insight and commercial strategy to deliver measurable outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing Driving financial performance across underwriting, pricing, reserving, reinsurance, investments and capital Leading reinsurance and investment committees, ensuring strong governance, challenge and decision-making Developing and delivering reinsurance and investment strategies aligned to growth and profitability objectives Translating complex actuarial and financial insight into clear actions, metrics and executive-level recommendations Providing deep analysis of reserving positions and capital optimisation opportunities Partnering closely with underwriting, pricing, actuarial and senior finance stakeholders Producing insightful competitor analysis to identify strengths, risks and opportunities Supporting senior leadership with clear plans, performance monitoring and strategic insight What You’ll Bring Qualified accountant with circa 7-10 years’ post-qualification experience Strong understanding of insurance underwriting profitability and performance In-depth knowledge of reinsurance structures, investment accounting and capital management Solid grasp of actuarial reserving outputs and their impact on financial performance Experience operating within a Solvency II environment Ability to influence and challenge at senior leadership level A commercial, analytical mindset with the confidence to lead through complexity Why Apply?
