We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing global specialty insurer to recruit an IT Risk & Controls Project Manager to lead the delivery of IT Risk & Controls initiatives across the business. This role will focus on strengthening the organisation’s IT control framework, improving governance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk requirements.
Key responsibilities;
• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT Risk & Controls projects (scope, budget, timelines, governance).
• Manage initiatives aligned to regulatory requirements (e.g. operational resilience, cyber risk, data governance, third-party risk).
• Partner with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams to enhance the IT control framework.
• Oversee control design, remediation programmes, and audit-related actions.
• Ensure alignment with internal risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Manage RAID logs, reporting, steering committees, and senior stakeholder updates.
• Coordinate internal SMEs and third-party vendors where required.
• Drive clear documentation, testing evidence, and audit traceability.
The ideal candidate should have but not limited to;
• Proven experience delivering IT Risk, IT Controls, or IT Governance projects.
• Background within the insurance or broader financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC), cyber security controls, and risk frameworks.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
