Responsibility for managing claims arising from our International Financial Lines book of business. Ensure the proper servicing and settlement of claims within designated authority whilst working in partnership with team colleagues claims management and other internal stakeholders. Job Responsibilities • Claims responsibility for a portfolio of Financial Lines claims. Portfolio will include international (inc US) jurisdictions, lead/follow, primary/excess and D&O/E&O/FI/Cyber claims. • Assess and adjust claims in relation to policy coverage. Ensure that coverage is accurately accessed and communicated appropriately and promptly. • Ensure that reserving is correctly maintained and long-tail projects are properly managed and audited. • Ensure that all potential coverage, liability and quantum issues are identified and pursued appropriately and expeditiously. • Maintain the highest standards of communication with claims management and underwriting to ensure that information on significant claims, large loss reports and claims trends are shared expeditiously. • Review London market claims and advice within system and maintain accurate claims records at all times. • Attend market claim meetings as required. • Liaise with Underwriters, brokers and policy holders on claims issues and driving successful claims outcomes for all parties. • Assist with reinsurance issues. • Assist with auditing of claims TPA’s and external providers as required. • Ensure compliance with Lloyds minimum standards and all regulatory and statutory requirements relating to claims handling, in particular TCF. Qualifications & Capabilities • Reasonable standard of education • Working knowledge of ECF2. • Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of Insurance and related issues through formal and informal learning / exams. • Ability to prioritise and organise workload and meet deadlines. • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external customers.
