Reporting into the Regulatory Reporting Manager, this contract role plays a key part in supporting international regulatory reporting activities across European insurance entities within a leading global (re)insurance organisation. You will work closely with finance colleagues in London and Stockholm, contributing to Solvency II, UK, and other international regulatory submissions while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. This role offers broad exposure to multi-jurisdictional reporting frameworks and the opportunity to strengthen regulatory processes and controls in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist in the preparation and submission of Solvency II returns for European entities and the international group (solo and group). • Support the production of SFCR and RSR reports. • Assist with UK solvency submissions for the UK branch. • Contribute to NAIC reporting requirements where applicable. • Prepare and support responses to stakeholder and local regulatory data requests (e.g. FCA and other European regulators). • Produce management information relating to regulatory requirements. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting deadlines and timelines. • Provide guidance on regulatory reporting standards and remain up to date with regulatory developments and changes. • Act as a key point of contact for internal queries related to regulatory reporting matters. • Identify potential reporting risks and establish appropriate controls to mitigate them. • Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory requirements. • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of regulatory reporting systems and processes. • Maintain and enhance regulatory reporting documentation and control frameworks. • Support supplementary regulatory tasks and ad hoc reporting requirements as needed. • Perform all duties in accordance with applicable conduct rules and regulatory standards. Core Skills and Experience • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent). • Proven experience in UK and European regulatory reporting within the insurance or reinsurance sector, with a strong focus on Solvency II. • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks, governance, and control environments. • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables in a contractor capacity. • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering accurate outputs under tight deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach. • Ability to identify reporting risks and implement effective controls. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel. • Flexible, hands-on team player with a collaborative mindset and high attention to detail.
