I'm working with a fast-growing Managing General Underwriter (MGU) that's continuing to scale both in the UK and internationally — and as part of this growth, they’re looking to hire a Risk Analyst to support their Enterprise & Operational Risk function. This is an excellent step-up opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of risk experience in insurance or financial services, who wants to be closer to the action, work cross-functionally, and get stuck into building and embedding a best-in-class risk framework. What’s the Opportunity? • Join a small but growing risk team where you’ll get exposure across the business • Support the development and roll-out of the firm’s ERM and operational risk framework • Take ownership of risk reporting, register maintenance, and control testing • Get involved in incident tracking, KRI monitoring, policy reviews, and risk assessments • Work closely with Underwriting, Compliance, Ops, and Tech – real variety • Brilliant role for someone looking to develop technical and commercial risk skills in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment What They're Looking For: • Around 1–3 years’ experience in risk, audit, compliance, or controls – ideally within insurance, broking, or financial services • A good grasp of risk management principles – especially operational risk • Someone keen to learn and grow into a more senior risk role over time • Strong attention to detail, with good Excel and reporting skills • Proactive, curious, and happy working in a fast-moving environment • Experience with risk tools/systems is a bonus (but not a must) Why This Role Stands Out: • Chance to build something – not just run reports or tick boxes • High visibility with senior stakeholders – your work will matter • Flat structure, supportive culture, and real career progression • A mix of risk, governance, and commercial thinking – great for long-term development • Hybrid working, strong comp, and excellent exposure to underwriting leadership
