A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to join its growing Risk Advisory team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide portfolio of high-profile clients, supporting them in strengthening their operational resilience capabilities in line with regulatory expectations and best-in-class practices.
You will be responsible for advising and leading client engagements focused on operational resilience frameworks, business continuity, third-party risk, and scenario testing. The role also includes internal leadership responsibilities and contributing to thought leadership across the firm’s resilience proposition.
This is an ideal role for someone with a strong understanding of the UK and global regulatory landscape, a consultative mindset, and the ability to deliver high-impact outcomes in complex environments.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead and deliver client engagements focused on operational resilience, including framework development, impact tolerance setting, mapping of important business services, scenario testing, and reporting
• Provide subject matter expertise on current and emerging regulations (e.g. FCA, PRA, DORA, NIS2)
• Support clients in designing and implementing business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery strategies
• Work with clients to assess third-party resilience, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure clear communication throughout project lifecycles
• Support the development of client proposals and contribute to business development activity
• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and development of methodologies and tools
Key skills and experience:
• Proven experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or related risk disciplines, ideally gained within a consultancy or regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of UK financial services regulatory landscape (FCA, PRA) and broader global frameworks
• Comfortable leading client-facing projects, from planning through to execution and reporting
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex resilience concepts to senior stakeholders
• Experience designing and running scenario testing and impact analysis exercises
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CBCI, ISO 22301, IRM) are advantageous
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
