We are partnering with a financial services, SaaS technology business who are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to lead our finance function during maternity leave cover for our Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the CEO and managing a team of four. You will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate financial information, ensuring robust controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting
Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, including revenue forecasting in collaboration with the sales team
Improve the quality and accuracy of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and consolidate group management accounts in line with agreed timelines
Deliver insightful working capital and cashflow forecasting
Maintain strong relationships with shareholders
Statutory & Tax Reporting
Manage statutory finance and tax reporting requirements across the Group
Lead the annual statutory audit process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of information to auditors
Financial Processes
Maintain a strong financial control environment to mitigate risk
Oversee finance systems and act as the main liaison with operations and IT for finance-related systems and reporting tools
Support ad-hoc finance projects as required
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with 7+ years post-qualification experience
Proven experience as an Interim Finance Director, ideally within fast-growing SMEs (Private Equity experience would be beneficial)
Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on with detail when required
Excellent leadership and communication skills
