Edenbrook are working with a leading rapidly growing general insurer for a Financial Reporting Analyst. As part of the Financial Reporting team, you will be responsible for producing monthly and annual results and regulatory returns. The key responsibilities of this role are: • Assist in the production of monthly financial results both by corporate entity and consolidated for the group. Includes completing monthly data control checks, movement analysis, manual data fix journals. • Completing preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline as designated by the Financial Reporting Manager for all trading companies. • Ensure that proper accounting records are produced and maintained to support reported results, including reconciliation and other control mechanisms. This will involve liaison with other members of the finance team responsible for production of these accounting records. • Assist with Solvency II reporting when needed for quarterly and annual QRT returns as well as assisting with SFCR and RSR pre-submission checks. • Applying new skills and knowledge from accountancy studies to keep abreast of technical accounting developments and assist the Financial Reporting team in ensuring that the impact of changes is understood and applied on a timely basis. • Assist with Ad-hoc projects and tasks under the direction of the Financial Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will be: • Experienced within the insurance industry • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Etc.)
