We are working with a growing specialty insurance group seeking a Credit Control Manager to join their central finance and operations team. This London-based opportunity is suited for an experienced credit control professional with strong technical expertise in insurance and a track record of delivering results in cash and debt management.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full credit control function, working with both onshore and offshore teams to deliver against robust cash and debt targets. This role will involve building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, supporting process improvements, and contributing to financial control across a portfolio of insurance entities.

Responsibilities:
Take ownership of all credit control functions, including aged debt and unallocated cash analysis.
Ensure timely allocation of premium receipts across multiple entities.
Follow up on overdue premiums, missing payments, and unallocated cash in line with company policy.
Ensure accurate treatment of technical payments (return premiums, NCBs, profit commissions).
Review and feedback on data entry processes to improve data quality.
Prepare and analyse reports on aged debt and unallocated cash for monthly review meetings.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currencies.
Keep senior finance leadership informed of progress on projects and initiatives.
Support and lead process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the credit control function.
Assist with special projects as required.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in credit control within the insurance sector (London Market specialty lines preferred).
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, sumif(s), countif(s)).
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvements and efficiency.
