This UK life and pensions company is seeking someomne to work as a member of the Actuarial team to lead the delivery of Capital & ALM reporting to enable the department to meet its objectives. Reporting to the Actuarial Manager you will have the ability to work independently and to lead actuarial analysts to support the following department objectives as agreed; plus lead the development of departmental models and processes to provide improve efficiency or provide additional insight into the financial management of the company. Lead the production of financial reports and analysis. The responsibilities of the role include • Solvency II valuation, including Pillar I, II and III. • Support financial projection and planning work. • Management of with-profits business, including recommendations on investment strategy and bonus rates. • Pricing of annuity business and policy alteration terms • Experience Analyses and recommending valuation assumption • Development and maintenance of actuarial models • Asset Liability Management What they are looking for 1. Qualified actuary 2. Experience of managing junior staff to deliver objectives 3. Knowledge of Solvency II, Pillars I, II and III 4. Excellent communication skills 5. Ability to propose solutions and be able to work independently and with ambiguity 6. Excellent report writing skills, including technical specs and writing high level reports for Senior Stakeholders 7. Possess the gravitas to deal with senior stakeholders and project sponsors. 8. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously seeking support where appropriate for prioritisation
