New opportunity as a Banking Manager, whereby you'll lead the Finance Operations Treasury shared service centre, and make sure all performance targets are hit. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of the UK payment industry including BAC’s and international payment processing, as well as having banking and / or treasury experience in a multinational financial services Group. Strong mathematical, analytical, communication and organisation skills are essential, as well as having experience in managing and leading a team, including colleague development and issue resolution.   Key responsibilities & Accountabilities: Leadership • Lead the Treasury team to provide an excellent service to the business • Deputise for the Group Financial Operations manager • Provide support and cover for other Team leads • Ensure colleagues are supported with the right level of monitoring, policy and procedure to allow roles to be carried out in a sustainable and effective manner • Support each team with issue resolution, utilizing effective escalation to achieve this. • Conducting colleague management duties including, coaching and feedback to team leads to achieve KPI’s and SLA’s, all colleague issues including monitoring absence and conducting disciplinaries, and assist the recruitment process where necessary Liquidity Planning and management • Responsible for managing short term cashflow in the group entities ensuring there is sufficient funds available to enable the business to meet all commitments on time. • Responsible for all bank accounts are kept within agreed limits to enable most efficient use of funds and execute accurate/timely intergroup money movements, ensuring there is sufficient funds available. • Responsible for ensuring that the business gains optimum return on cash by use of overnight deposits, money markets and short-term investments Operations • Responsible for the smooth and timely running of the Treasury functions and activities. • Responsible for ensuring payment preparation is appropriately documented and executed in line with SLA’s and agreed within the agreed financial policy framework • Ensure the bank mandates are kept up to date with the bank for all entities. • Responsible for ensuring all procedures are effectively operated, documented and adhered to the financial policy framework • Identification and deployment of corrective activity if operational performance drops and manage issue resolution • Ensure all daily, weekly and month procedures are performed within the agreed SLA’s • Ensure queries from across the business is resolved in a timely manner including the timely and accurate processing of the Treasury inbox • Ensure up to date Process Notes and Process Maps for the Treasury area Change Management • Identify and implement changes to improve process and accommodate business and commercial changes across the Group Financial Control • Review and sign off payments prepared by the team to ensure payment preparation is appropriately documented and executed in line with SLA’s • Lead the preparation of the Monthly Control Dashboard for Finance Operations • Responsibility for maintaining department risk registers (as applicable), providing evidence and commentary for controls, updates for Mitigation Actions and maintaining control matrices and attestations. Also, to ensure that your employees are aware of their responsibility to identify and report risk. • Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times, including compliance with the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR) Conduct Rules • Adhere to the group’s financial control framework. Ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping is maintained at all times. • Maintain first line controls within the team through accurate processing and maintaining audit trails to ensure proportionate safeguarding the risk of fraud, error or omission. To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have: • Significant Banking and / or treasury experience in a multinational financial services Group • Experience in managing and leading a team, including colleague development and issue resolution • Experience in dealing with multiple operational stakeholders / service users for adherence to SLA’s and issue resolution • Proficient in Microsoft applications & strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and organization skills • Qualified AAT or Treasury relevant qualification (desirable)
