We are working with a client who has a long-standing presence in the Lloyd’s and London Market, providing expertise in underwriting and financial management as part of a wider international group. The business values accuracy, collaboration, and innovation, with finance playing a critical role in supporting growth and performance. This position supports the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager within the FP&A team, contributing to the delivery of timely and insightful financial information for senior management and the Board. Key Responsibilities • Prepare the annual financial plan and budget for the group, consolidating results and ensuring delivery to the Board and Head Office under IFRS 17. • Partner with stakeholders across underwriting and operations to deliver timely, relevant, and accurate management information. • Challenge financial results, providing insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders. • Prepare management information, analytical reviews, and commentary to support forecasts and planning. • Produce syndicate forecasts, including Lloyd’s Syndicate Business Forecast submissions. • Contribute to quarterly Board papers, reporting on group performance. • Provide guidance, support, and first-level review for junior team members. • Liaise with auditors and actuaries as required. • Identify and implement improvements in processes to align with best practice. • Uphold company values and ensure compliance with financial crime and conduct regulations. Skills & Experience • ACA qualified accountant (or equivalent) with demonstrable post-qualification experience. • Strong knowledge of the Lloyd’s and London Market insurance sector. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with Anaplan and Adaptive Planning desirable. • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines. • Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in driving improvements. • Strong commitment to excellence, professional integrity, and continuous learning.
