Overview:
Lead and oversee all outward reinsurance activities, working closely with outsourced providers to ensure efficient operations, compliance, and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support departmental leadership and manage a small team.
• Oversee reinsurance admin tasks: premium calculations, claims, data management, and reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls.
• Analyse market trends affecting reinsurance strategy.
• Prepare reports for senior management and board.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and claims teams on renewals, pricing, and capital planning.
• Monitor and improve reinsurance program performance.
• Contribute expertise to relevant projects.
Requirements:
• 7+ years in insurance/reinsurance with strong financial reporting skills.
• Relevant degree or professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII, CPCU).
• Experience in outward reinsurance and team management.
• Technical knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with reinsurance admin systems is a plus.
