We are currently partnering with a Specialty Insurance and Investment Platform to recruit a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial management and reporting activities across the group, ensuring accuracy, control, and efficiency in all financial processes. This position offers exposure to both UK and US operations and provides the opportunity to work closely with senior finance stakeholders across multiple entities. Responsibilities include: • Manage day-to-day accounting processes, including bookkeeping, banking, treasury, and other financial operations. • Prepare quarterly management accounts for each entity and support the group consolidation process. • Assist in the preparation of quarterly board materials and other senior management reporting. • Develop and maintain robust month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Support budget setting, forecasting, and analytical reviews of financial performance. • Coordinate with UK and international finance teams to ensure accurate intercompany accounting and reconciliations. • Oversee cash flow management and forecasting. • Review and control expense management, including procurement, invoicing, and personal expenses. • Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong audit files and documentation. • Approve and review invoices, expenses, and payments; authorise new suppliers and support payroll review processes. • Participate in ad hoc projects, including support for new business initiatives and process improvements. • Assist in strengthening the control environment, ensuring compliance with financial standards and corporate governance requirements. The ideal candidate should have: • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience. • Excellent technical accounting knowledge and understanding of double-entry principles. • Proven experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and management accounts. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. • Experience with ERP or financial systems and good Excel proficiency. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and regions. • A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge processes and drive improvement. • Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment is desirable. • A team-oriented approach and willingness to be hands-on in a dynamic and growing business.
