This exciting new role is working for a financial services mutual that was established over 175 years ago to provide advice and products to professionals. Reporting to the Group CFO you will oversee the development and management of financial planning and analysis across the Group and its subsidiary companies. Key responsibilities will include · Leading, Co-ordinating and delivering high-quality outputs to the Board, Group Executive Committee, and Group CFO · Review key processes and outputs and drive efficiencies and innovation in the way things are done · Understanding of the Group’s BUs including key drivers of performance · Developing sound working relationships and credibility within Group Head Office to ensure clarity as to stakeholder management and respective responsibilities · Understanding the markets in which business operates, its strategy, risks, distribution channels and marketing approach · Understanding the financial dynamics of the group in depth including statutory structures, product features & capital usage · Developing a solid understanding of financial reporting methodologies and keeping abreast of accounting and reporting developments · Assisting in the development of presentations to the Group Executive Committee and Board · Co-ordinating the production of specified presentations/reports across all BUs · Assisting Group Finance in various ad-hoc projects associated with group-wide initiatives. · Assisting Investor Relations activities responding to analyst/investor queries related to Remuneration and assisting in the production of external presentations of the Group’s activities and results. · Manage a team of between 10-15 people
