Are you an experienced finance professional ready to lead and make an impact in a high-growth business? We are seeking a Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting to join our dynamic Finance function at a pivotal point in the company’s journey. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in driving robust and timely financial reporting, supporting strategic decisions, and shaping the future of the Finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for delivering financial integrity, overseeing core accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and best practices. What You’ll Do: Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management accounts for both internal and group reporting. Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and coordination with key stakeholders. Manage the preparation of annual financial statements and lead external audit processes. Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across income, costs, balance sheet, and cash flow. Take ownership of tax compliance activities including VAT filings. Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and ongoing process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across the UK and Continental Europe. Partner with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and consultants to support business growth and stability. What We’re Looking For: • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with at least 5 years post-qualification experience. • Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS and UK GAAP. • Proven experience in a similar role with demonstrable leadership and team development skills. • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accountability. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • A strategic thinker who thrives under pressure and embraces change. • Previous experience in the retail or e-commerce sector is desirable but not essential.
