Financial Crime Officer opportunity working with a market leading specialty insurer operating within the Lloyd’s Market. You will focus on maintaining, enhancing and implementing financial crime policies and procedures, supporting financial crime risk assessments, and ensuring that company controls support adherence to all relevant laws and regulations applicable. Key Responsibilities: Promote a strong compliance culture and ensure adherence to financial crime regulations. Support and enhance the Financial Crime and Licensing Governance control framework. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML/CTF, fraud, and UK, EU, US, and UN sanctions developments. Assist with annual financial crime risk assessments, including control evaluation and remediation follow-up. Review and update financial crime policies, procedures, and framework documentation. Maintain the High-Risk Business Approval List. Prepare financial crime MI and committee reports, ensuring appropriate escalation of key risks. Manage key controls (e.g., Segregation of Duties reviews and Gifts & Entertainment registers). Conduct regulatory impact assessments and support business communications on emerging risks. Deliver and maintain financial crime training (annual and bespoke). Support wider Financial Crime and International Compliance projects, advisory work, investigations, and governance activities. Skills & Experience: 4+ years’ experience in Financial Crime/Compliance within the (re)insurance sector. Experience in financial crime functions, including risk assessments. Knowledge of UK, EU, US, and UN sanctions frameworks. Licensing experience within (re)insurance (desirable).
