We are currently recruiting a Financial Controls Manager. This role will involve developing, implementing and maintaining an effective financial controls framework in order to mitigate and manage financial and relevant operational risks. It will also include designing and maintaining effective reports on financial risks and controls to stakeholders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Develop and maintain the financial controls framework – to spearhead the design, setup, optimisation and upkeep of an effective financial controls framework. • Oversee implementation and operation of controls throughout reporting cycles to mitigate and manage risk effectively. • Oversee management information systems to report on the effectiveness of financial controls. • Lead investigations into risk events and develop action plans to address identified weaknesses. • Manage controls testing cycles, including the development of annual testing plans and in-cycle testing. • Ensure strong financial controls are in place with outsourcing provides, with clear measurement modes. • Stakeholder reporting – to develop and maintain clear reporting dashboards relating to financial risks and controls. The ideal candidate should have: • Qualified accountant – extensive experience with financial controls frameworks, financial reporting, risk assessment, defining effective controls and process improvement. • Change leadership – proven experience in leading change, whether in small engagements or parts of large, complex operations.
