New opportunity within a leading insurance legacy acquirer, who are seeking a Finance Integration Specialist, who will provide support for the on boarding of new business acquisitions into the finance function. The successful candidate will assist across the full finance integration process from initial planning through to the successful transition to the BAU finance functions. The role will have exposure across a variety of functions across the company, and will provide an excellent opportunity to develop both finance skills and understanding of the legacy insurance business. Key responsibilities & Accountabilities: • Finance integration planning • Develop and document efficient and thorough finance integration processes • Production of accounting memos for new deals • Opening day financials • Review data provided by the counterparty to ensure the reported information is complete, valid and accurate • Preparation and booking of the opening day financial position • Reconciliation of reported position to the actuarial pricing position • Pre data integration • Reporting and review of new acquisition activity until properly integrated into the BAU processes • Assisting the integration process across other workstreams • Post integration handover • Reconciliation of integrated data to the reported financial position • Ensuring successful transition into BAU finance functions To be successful in this role, you will need to have/be: • ACCA/ACA qualified • Non-life (re)insurance knowledge and experience in the UK is desirable • Legacy acquisition experience preferred • Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP • Good level of computer skills including MS Excel and Word, as well as other systems
