We are currently working with one of the World’s Leading Insurance companies to recruit a Data Scientist. Working closely with other members of the P&C insurance team, the successful individual will be responsible for analysing large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to drive better decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
• Collect, organize, and analyse large data sets from various sources to derive insights that will inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and product development teams to identify areas where data-driven insights can improve their operations.
• Build predictive models that can help identify risk factors and improve underwriting accuracy.
• Develop machine learning algorithms that can be used to detect fraudulent claims.
• Work with the IT team to ensure that data is stored and analysed securely.
• Develop dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact the P&C insurance industry.
The ideal candidate should have;
• Experience in a data science role for a P&C Insurance company (essential).
• Strong knowledge of data analysis techniques.
• Experience working with large data sets and advanced data analysis tools (such as SQL, R, Python).
• Exposure to developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
