New opportunity to support the companies syndicate and MGA platforms by assuming responsibility for all credit control activities as directed, working with relevant teams to resolve and develop solutions. Ensuring credit control procedures are effective and implemented across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for collection and reconciliation of premiums, minimising bad debt and maximisation of cash flow, as well as providing regular reporting to stakeholders regarding Credit Control performance. You will work collaboratively within Operations, liaising with the business to ensure any challenges / risks are identified and addressed. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Responsible for credit control and reporting requirements for MGA and syndicate. • Liaison with brokers, chasing overdue premium and remittances. • Implement credit control processes and procedures, to be utilised by Underwriting teams. • Control of ad hoc day to day issues within Credit Control. • Clear and regular communication with Brokers, Cover holders, Finance, IT & Data Management, Underwriting teams and Group Operations management. • Reconciliation of MGA bank accounts, isolating and allocating premium receipts and effective resolution of cash related queries. • Creation and reporting of MI to support internal and external requirements. • Maintenance of MGA Sequel ledger transactions. • To assist with month-end close procedures when required. • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards and regulations. • Ensure compliance with relevant PRA and FCA conduct rules. • Responsibility for the proper performance of all regulatory roles held in the course of employment. • Responsibility for the proper performance of any FCA/PRA Prescribed Responsibilities assigned from time to time and contained within a Statement of Responsibilities. • Ensure compliance with assigned risk management responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you will need to be/have: • Professionally qualified or willingness to study toward a professional qualification (CII or other equivalent). • Previous credit control experience gained within the London Insurance Market. • Good analytical, mathematical, and organisational skills. • Knowledge of Xchanging processes. • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel. • Good analytical, mathematical and organisational skills.
