We are partnering with a leading London Market Insurer who are seeking a Treasury Assistant to join their Treasury & Investment Team. Key Responsibilities - Ensure invoices and expenses are processed and paid efficiently, collaborating with colleagues in Finance and stakeholders across the business. Process accounting entries in the relevant finance system in a timely and accurate manner to record transactions arising from the accounts payable function. - Assist with cash position reconciliations to ensure all balances are correctly reflected in the general ledger. - Prepare monthly analysis on credit card and travel expenditure and post corresponding journals. - Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, supporting payment and procurement-related enquiries. - Prepare information required for cash planning and cash flow forecasting activities. - Support month-end deliverables and work with reporting teams to ensure an accurate and timely close. - Maintain policy and procedure documentation, recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Collate information for external auditors and support a smooth audit process. - Provide cover across wider Treasury operations, including cash management and forecasting. - Contribute to broader Finance projects and respond to ad-hoc requests as required. Skills & Experience - Foundational to intermediate understanding of accounting for expenses and cash transactions, including relevant tax considerations. - Experience working within a finance team, ideally within financial services or a similar environment. - Strong attention to detail and a proactive, customer-focused approach. - Experience using banking platforms and online banking mechanisms (including payments and custodian services). - Strong IT skills, including MS Office and finance systems (experience with modern cloud-based ERPs advantageous). - Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. - Knowledge of trust fund structures or regulated financial markets (advantageous).
