We are working with a leading, diversified specialty insurance and reinsurance company for a Technical Accountant. This exciting role will be responsible for supporting accounting activities within the UK Finance team. Main duties of the Technical Accountant include, but are not limited to: • Taking ownership of underlying data in the entity trial balances to appropriately facilitate the production of the financial reporting/analyses. • Managing accounting processes to the required control standards. • Maintaining controls over the TB production, preparing reports on financial performance. • Contributing to, monitoring and advising on the plan variances and implications in order to ensure relevancy, compliance and optimal delivery of business results. • Assisting in the preparation and implementation of the operational team plans to ensure these are in line with wider business strategy and reflect key priorities. • Adhering to Finance standards, policies, procedures, instructions and good practice to operate controls, minimise risk and maximise efficiency. The successful candidate will ideally have the following: • A relevant accounting qualification. (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, ICAS, etc.) • Experience within financial services sector with a preference towards insurance.
