Senior Manager (Sustainable Finance) UK Wide- Hybrid Flexible Working £75,000 - £90,000 A well-known accounting and professional services company, are looking for a Senior Manager in Banking & Capital Markets sector. The role will require to support UK and international clients on their Sustainable Finance challenges. Responsibilities: • As a trusted advisor to stakeholders within the BCM sector, using your in-depth knowledge of sustainable finance. • Providing the clients with market-shaping sustainable finance solutions. • Engaging in all aspects of engagement management, from pitching, scoping, team selection, risk management, and budget control. • Possessing fluent knowledge of sustainable finance practices in the BCM sector, market developments, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape. • Assisting both internal and external stakeholders on sustainable finance in BCM, transforming regulations and market practices into understandable and actionable insights, including but not limited to: the Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) and the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) climate-related supervisory expectations; Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD); the EU Taxonomy and Green Asset Ratio (“GAR”); Pillar 3 ESG disclosures. • Involvement in the training of junior team members and associates. • Developing strong connections with internal stakeholders across the establishment and acting as a member of the sustainable finance leadership team. Skills and Experience: • Experience in professional services / consultancy in an ‘engagement manager’ capacity. • Evidence of operating at a senior level with strong industry understanding of banking and capital markets. • Understanding of ESG integration in the context of banks’ lending and capital markets activities, from the front office, to supporting functions’ activities. • Understanding of leading practices in banks’ sustainable finance propositions and services, including sustainable finance product principles and standards and evolving sustainable finance product classification and labelling requirements. • Experience working with banks on one or all of: ESG and sustainable finance strategies and transition plans; impact measurement and management; ESG integration; climate-related risk management; ESG due diligence; stewardship and counterparty engagement on ESG; sustainable finance products and services; sustainable finance regulatory readiness and compliance; and ESG disclosures. • Understanding of key directives and regulations impacting BCM clients relating to ESG, including, but not limited to: climate stress testing and supervisory expectations on ESG; TCFD and TNFD; EU Taxonomy and Green Asset Ratio (“GAR”); and Pillar 3 ESG disclosures • Evidence of client networking success, proven track record in business development and pipeline building.
