Edenbrook are currently recruiting for Senior Credit Controller. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the delivery of Instalment Credit Management’s objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the timely and effective performance of duties, maintaining standards, building effective relationships and providing supervisory support to the Instalments Team Leader. Role level Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Undertakes instalment credit control activities, in accordance with the defined processes, to ensure prompt premium payment and to achieve agreed KPIs. • Handle internal and external instalment customer queries in an efficient and professional manner. • Builds effective relationships with both internal and external customers. • Support effective and efficient collaboration between offshore and onshore teams. • Ensure policy and procedures, workflow for assigned areas of responsibility, as well as archived records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements are maintained. • Ensure instalment process and operational activities are adhered to within regulatory requirements. • Interpret and analyse complex data and financial information, and using this to make informed decisions. • Monitor reports to ensure optimal outcomes for clients and the business is achieved. • Provide Ad-hoc information that is required by the business in an ever changing environment • Assist with training new instalments team members on procedures and best practices, serving as a mentor and resources for ongoing learning and development. • Communicate effectively and promptly with Team Leader to raise issues/concerns promptly with systems or processes and provide creative solutions to overcome challenges and minimize downtime. • Support Team Leader with implementation of continuous operational improvements, initiatives and manage a pipeline of opportunities. • Perform assigned leadership activities to the support the Team Leader with leadership of the team. The ideal candidate should have • A detailed understanding of business and instalment processes and systems. • Good knowledge of credit management best practice and the ability to apply this in the role. • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures, FCA and banking rules and regulations. • Working knowledge and understanding of the BACS system, rules and regulations. • CICM qualification to certificate level preferred, or a desire to study towards this qualification would be advantageous. • Significant experience of working in credit management/ credit control for in excess of 3-5 years. • Experience working within the Insurance industry, desirable.
