We are currently partnering with a Rapidly-growing Insurance Broker to recruit a Motor Underwriter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing referrals and queries while maintaining accurate administration, supporting performance reporting, and staying informed on products and underwriting requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Manage email referrals and handle internal and external underwriting queries, including insurer referrals. • Maintain accurate administration and filing for insurer and product documentation. • Act as the first point of contact for sales team underwriting queries and in-house referrals. • Present risks to bespoke underwriters, negotiate terms, and make confident decisions within business rules. • Assist in generating scheme performance data and monitor underwriting performance and loss ratios. • Stay up to date with company products and external factors influencing underwriting decisions. • Work closely with Operations to support compliance requirements. • Represent the company professionally and confidently at all times. The ideal candidate should have: • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of personal lines Motor insurance. • Understanding of underwriting performance and have experience of monitoring insurer loss ratios. • A desire to learn new skills and challenge stakeholder to develop personal and achieve business objectives.
