Working in this PE backed Life Insurance consolidator the Group FP&A Analyst will support developing, modelling, and reporting financial plans and analysis on a US GAAP and management basis (Stat/cash), through the annual business planning cycle, reforecast processes and quarterly Management Information process. In addition, the role will provide analysis required to support rating agency financial requirements as well as corporate activity such as potential acquisitions and debt/equity raise. This role will be essential in supporting the development of financial and commercial insight into the underlying businesses as well as the Central costs and analysing quarterly results and trends. The role will also support the execution of system improvement projects (Oracle) aimed at streamlining financial processes and improving the quality and control of analysis and reporting. The Group FP&A Analyst will have strong accounting (US GAAP) and analytical skills, excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with key stakeholders across the business, in various locations. The incumbent must be hands-on, detail oriented and technically competent, including being able to demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting and actuarial concepts, and must be highly analytical with a commercial mindset. Given the demands of the role, the ideal candidate must be agile, responsive to change and technologically inclined. Your Characteristics • Fully qualified accountant (pref. ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or actuary. • Strong US GAAP knowledge and experience. • Some exposure to Rating Agency models/metrics would be a plus • Excellent/advanced Excel skills and PowerPoint skills. • Systems and tech savvy; Oracle experience would be a plus not a requirement. • Some experience in strategic/financial planning and/or capital management. • Broad working knowledge of best practice in life insurance company financial reporting (Statutory and US GAAP) • Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision and cope with ambiguity. Willingness to roll up sleeves where required given the nature of organisational size and growth stage. • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve. Pragmatic and solution focussed with a can-do attitude. • Excellent ability to quickly build strong relationships with a broad network of stakeholders. Good communication & presentation skills; influences others effectively and respectfully. • Proven track record of constant process improvement and innovation. • Demonstrates high standards regarding the quality and thoroughness of business and technical analysis.
