We are currently recruiting for a Finance Operations lead at a market leading insurance broker, handling the day-to-day accounting for all UK-managed businesses. As a pivotal leader, this position ensures transparency in our financial performance and enhances financial literacy, focusing on delivering accurate and insightful information about the firm's financial performance.
• Coordinating with FP&A guidance on forecasts and budget processes for the firm's cost base.
• Ensuring complete balance sheet reconciliations and thorough reviews.
• Monthly reporting as required.
• Supporting other internal teams, i.e. external reporting teams at year end, tax team queries etc.
• Supporting annual audit and tax engagements as needed.
• Preparing and delivering quarterly VAT returns in collaboration with the UK tax team.
• Acting as a senior business partner across all corporate and middle office functions.
• Conducting monthly or quarterly meetings with budget holders.
• Preparing the business case financials.
• Actively managing a zero-based forecast of firm’s non-staff costs.
• Representing finance on applicable boards/ steer cos (i.e. Strategic Change Board).
• Managing and developing PowerBI self-service tools (training provided as needed).
