New Opportunity with a leading Global Fintech Financial Services company, who are also a top 10 insurance brokerage firm in the world who have recently expanded globally, with a small dedicated professional team. The role involves directly supporting the UK business partners (aka agency partners) with the preparation of management reports, monthly / quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, including analysis on key drivers and metrics for financial performance.
Key responsibilities & Accountabilities:
• Lead the production of relevant agency partners financial reporting under local GAAP
• Provide deliverables and support the International Head of Accounting with Group consolidation of IFRS and US GAAP results
• Prepare timely, high quality reports to support various stakeholders – internal management, Group management and Group Corporate Accounting and Reporting teams
• Support the Financial Controller in maintenance of a robust control environment
• Develop process notes and system maintenance
• Build a strong financial control environment to support future growth and accelerated expansion
• Assist UK Retail FP&A manager with production of budgets/forecasts and other analytics as required
• Maintain historical cash flow and future forecast for funding needs and distribution
• Expect high visibility to C-Suite management of local business as well UK Retail business
• Provide relevant inputs in production of both local and group Board packs on the routine basis
• Participate in various ad-hoc finance projects such as new system implementation and adoption of SOX.
• Collaborate with as Finance business partner for IA, HR, CoSec, Legal, IT, M&A and Treasury as necessary
• Opportunity to assist with complex accounting such as Consolidation, Business Combination, Share based payment, Financial Accounting if desired
Qualifications & Capabilities:
• Qualified accounting with industry experience
• Prior experience within the insurance brokerage and financial service industry preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Effective written and verbal skills, used to perform detailed analysis and prepare presentations with a commercial focus
• Highly responsible and accountable; takes ownership of projects from start to finish
• Strong interpersonal skills with business, financial, and operational acumen
• Perform detailed analysis while understanding the implications to the big picture
• A desire and passion to continuously improve finance deliverables
• Build and maintain trust and work with confidential data and projects with discretion and professionalism
• Positive attitude, desire to learn, self-motivated and effective team player
• Operate independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Demonstrated strong proficiency with other Microsoft Office tools, e.g., PowerPoint, Word
• Technical agility and desired knowledge of financial reporting systems and tools, e.g. ERP & EPM
• Ability to work between multiple best-in-class cloud-based solutions
