New opportunity with a leading global provider of reinsurance, primary insurance and insurance-related risk solutions. This role is adding value by managing a team of systems accountants, ensuring the global finance systems used to the full capability as well as expense actuals information are captured in time and quality. This role is well suited to an individual who appreciates the importance of process efficiency and the accompanying robust controls using system capabilities. Further the role would require a candidate who is curious to understand the finance processes willing to build a team that works collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a team of 3 staff and create a culture of collaboration, excellence and professional growth. • Ensure timely expense processing and up to date master data maintenance • Ensure system development based on requirements and own and external improvement suggestions • Ensure training for end users for globally, mainly SAP based systems and tools • Increase efficiency and quality of processes by leveraging system capabilities and implementation of system based process & control improvements combined with enhancement of automated procedures • Actively work with the Commercial Reporting team to support the expense reporting requirements as well as with the Finance transformation team to ensure continuous improvement in system usage • Build strong relationships within Finance & Actuarial, IT and underwriting colleagues to maintain and improve the quality of cost centre structure and expense capturing • Assist Head of Finance Operations to adapt to and implement changes and develop the Finance team • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers/policyholders. • Work with other areas of finance to maintain cost centre structure and implement any changes needed To be successful in this role, you’ll need to: • Demonstrated organisation skills including team and time management • Proven meaningful process standardization and automation • Detailed knowledge of expenses processing • SAP based system knowledge preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • University Degree and/or relevant professional qualification
