We are working with an excellent London Market Insurer for a Corporate Assistant Accountant reporting into the Planning & Analysis manager. This role is focused on supporting the finance team for the accounting and reporting of all of the corporate entities.
Responsibilities for the accounting for the corporate entities and the group, including (and not limited to):
• Preparation and review of corporate journals, including MGA accounting and invoice journals (corporate bank reconciliations)
• Preparations of accruals and prepayments for all entities including the Syndicate
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for the month end close of the corporate entities and the group.
• Responsible for the preparation of the statutory financial statements for group and corporate entities.
• Liaise with external auditors.
• Responsible for the preparation of regulatory reporting for the corporate entities, including the QF1, AF1 and FCA reporting
The successful candidate will look:
• Part-Qualified Accountant
• Strong communication skills to effectively manage internal stakeholders of all levels.
• Advanced Excel (comfortable with Pivot tables and working with data extracts).
• Experience of general ledger systems (experience of SUN and Q&A advantageous)
• Experience in Insurance is advantageous
