Edenbrook are working with a market leading Lloyds Underwriter for a Corporate Accountant. Reporting to the financial controller, you would be responsible for all financial reporting processes across the entities assisting with the design and operation of the control framework. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; • Preparation of statutory accounts and related disclosures for all group entities (including Managing Agent and Lloyd’s Corporate member). • Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts for review. • Liaise with external auditors and oversee the statutory audit process. • Support with completion of tax compliance tasks, for both direct and indirect taxes. • Provide forecasting and planning assistance where required. • Operation and design assistance of financial control framework, ensuring all documentation of corporate accounting processes is kept up to date. The ideal candidate should be; • General financial accounting experience, preferably in the Lloyd’s market. • Part/Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - ongoing professional study support provided as and when required. • Solid understanding of up-to-date accounting standards (UK GAAP). • Experience working within a regulated company (PRA/FCA) with a good understanding of Lloyd’s and regulatory compliance requirements a benefit. • Excellent academic record and degree level qualifications.
