Claims Adjuster – EL / PL
The main purpose of the role is to efficiently handle a selection of public liability, employers liability and professional indemnity claims. The majority of claims are defence of personal injury claims that occur from incidents on holiday, primarily those that are abroad, although there are some based in the UK.
The Claims Handler will manage a variety of claims varying from sickness claims, simple slip and trip claims arising from accidents at hotels to explosions on ferries. The Claims Handler will be expected to handle a number of legally complex claims largely due to their international nature and the contractual arrangements between parties, whilst also giving consideration to the application of UK & EU Consumer Protection legislation and international Conventions.
The Claims Handler will be expected to manage their allocated claims via a bespoke case management system (full training will be provided), ensuring that their claims are kept up to date and are effectively managed at all times. They will be expected to liaise and work with the Litigation team as and when necessary.
The Claims Handler will play an integral role in ensuring the Claims Team meets its monthly billing target.
