We are working with a global financial services company that provides investment platforms to major financial institutions and wealth management firms who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial control, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance for UK entities within a highly regulated environment. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in line with IFRS and UK statutory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining strong financial governance, supporting audits, and partnering with senior stakeholders across finance, risk, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end financial control, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review statutory accounts and regulatory reporting Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and provisions Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors Ensure compliance with UK regulatory and statutory requirements Deliver high-quality management reporting and financial insights Strengthen financial controls and drive process improvements Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic initiatives Lead and develop a high-performing finance team Person Profile Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) Significant experience in financial control, reporting, and audit Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) Experience in a regulated environment (financial services or similar preferred) Background in professional services (e.g. audit, accounting or advisory) strongly preferred Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate in a high-governance, control-focused environment
