Senior Legal Claims Counsel Duties Drafting, review and negotiation of insurance related contracts including without limitation reinsurance agreements, novation agreements, commutation agreements, claims handling agreements as well as other outsourcing and service agreements, non-disclosure agreements and data processing agreements Drafting and review of corporate and company law measures including resolutions of company organs and other corporate housekeeping matters (preparation of general meetings, executive board meetings and supervisory board meetings (incl. legal oversight over subsidiaries and branches) Accompany onboarding of acquired companies and insurance portfolios / Supporting with - and going forward being in charge of - internal restructuring projects such as group-internal mergers Support of Global CRO & Head of Governance as well as the Head of Compliance/Governance/Legal with compliance & regulatory matters across the EU & UK, including drafting, reviewing and monitoring adherence to internal policies, as well as maintaining the deadline database Experience Required Experience in working with other European jurisdictions (e.g. Germany, Spain, France) and German language skills would be advantageous (though not essential). 5-8 years PQE. Experience gained in a recognised international law firm or corporate in-house legal team. LLB or other degree plus GDL (or equivalent) with a minimum 2:1 average (or equivalent) Very good professional experience and standard of legal drafting (letters, agreements, internal advice) Ability to communicate effectively with senior management internally and cultivate important relationships externally Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and have a proactive and energetic 'can-do' attitude Ability to instil enthusiasm and persuade internally and externally
