Working with a major UK commercial insurer, are seeking an experienced Performance Insight Lead – Transformation, to join the Finance department. Reporting to the Finance Director of Strategy & Transformation, this individual will assist the Group’s transformation program and delivery of the associated financial and business outcomes through development, implementation, and performance management / reporting of operational and financial metrics. With responsibility for one direct report, they will help to encourage a culture of high performance, visibility and accountability with constructive challenges and support. Key responsibilities & accountabilities: • Act as the primary point of contact for a range of stakeholders covering all aspects of value tracking and associated financial control and decision support within the transformation programme, including business initiative leads, accountable Executives and the Head of transformation. • Supporting accountable business teams to develop the right metrics to track and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and business planning • Production of clear and succinct reporting. Analysis and evaluation of findings to explain potential commercial impact, challenging where necessary, this may include conflicting ideas or approaches and areas of uncertainty • Understanding the impact of external factors and internal decisions on metrics and delivery • Ongoing development of the Group’s value tracking methodology and performance metrics for the program • Support implementation of future tooling as required by finance function transformation agenda. • Develop & evolve Transformation metrics and value tracking methodology with input and alignment from business and Finance teams • Highlight developing trends and variances in Transformation metrics and delivery plans to senior leaders and the Exec to ensure informed decisions can be made. • Work with initiative leads to resolve issues and to develop pragmatic solutions, escalating where necessary. • Production and Analysis of Transformation metrics, providing challenge to insights, data and delivery plans to help drive the business forward in its ambition of growth. • Ensuring appropriate value tracking of Transformation initiatives. • Design, approval, reporting and analysis of all Transformation benefits metrics. • Stakeholder engagement across Transformation Office and wider business to ensure robust benefit and KPI reporting and analysis, calling out concerns and recommending solutions. You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience: • A Structured and organised approach - able to manage big data sets, consistent / high frequency process and multiple stakeholders across the business • Financial reporting acumen and experience, with an eye for detail and drive for rigorous process • Commercial acumen combined with intellectual curiosity to challenge business / commercial logic, supported by facts • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work efficiently and effectively with a variety of colleagues from across the business and of differing levels of seniority • Proven ability to influence decisions with senior leaders and Execs and deliver through others despite uncertainty, conflicting choices and consequences of actions
