Purpose: You will deliver a high-quality Claims Handling Service to all clients and possess and apply advanced and diversified claims knowledge and other technical skills to the completion of complex client facing, insurer facing and business development projects.
Responsibilities:
• Engage with all parties to resolve claims coverage disputes through in-depth policy knowledge, current case law, industry practices and market trends.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with insurers, including underwriters, claims heads, claims examiners and loss adjusters.
• Meet clients for claims review, status and strategy meetings alongside service brokers.
• Meet prospective and actual clients with Client Advocates, in order to assist on sales and pitches.
• Negotiate for clients with insurers and/or appointed representatives in relation to conduct, strategy and resolution of claims (including insurers’ panel legal service providers)
• Work with and guide brokers where necessary in relation to claims; including coverage issues, uninsured exposures, use of panel legal firms, and insurers’ conduct and settlement strategies.
• Provide claims advice for specific risks product lines to clients and internal stakeholders in relation to:
• Reporting & monitoring of claims activity, conduct and strategy (including litigated claims);
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business with your internal stakeholders.
• Advice on claims protocols/third party legal service providers
• Provide claims-specific inputs to client RFP tender processes (Request For Proposal)
• Ensure consistent, comprehensive and proper use of claims management processes by Claims Technical Support.
