We are currently partnering with a market-leading company, focussed on their Insurance vertical to recruit a Finance Systems Accountant. This is a high-impact opportunity to modernise the finance function during a key growth phase. You will lead the shift to a more agile and efficient team, improving core financial processes so they support better decisions and scalable growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Develop comprehensive business cases and project documentation to support key finance transformation initiatives. • Lead stakeholder forums to align priorities, gain consensus, and ensure changes reflect business needs. • Oversee requirements, system design, and testing phases to ensure all finance changes meet objectives and standards. • Drive business readiness for new processes, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption to operations. • Maintain a complete inventory of finance processes, identifying critical operations and establishing continuity plans. • Strengthen financial controls, identify risks, and implement automation opportunities for manual processes. • Serve as the main point of contact between Finance and IT, aligning technical and functional roadmaps. • Lead month-end close processes to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and maintain overall financial integrity. • Oversee reconciliations, manual adjustments, and error resolution to uphold consistent and reliable accounting records. • Implement and enforce financial policies and controls to ensure compliance and standardisation across the organisation. • Identify, capture, and prioritise finance-led change initiatives that drive efficiency and operational improvement. • Shape the finance systems strategy, monitor performance metrics, and ensure service levels meet stakeholder expectations. • Own the finance master data strategy, ensuring data quality, alignment with business goals, and regulatory compliance. • Support staff development through training, succession planning, and guidance while managing audit and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate: • Strong systems accounting background and good understanding of end-to-end processes within SAP. • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). • Experience of managing Finance systems. • Highly numerate with good communication skills, both verbal and written
