An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a growing financial services organisation. This role supports the day-to-day operation of the Finance function across cash management, accounts payable, financial reporting, and transaction processing. Working closely with finance colleagues and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Maintain daily cash books and banking records, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of company bank accounts. • Support cash flow reporting and monitor cash movements across multiple accounts. • Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs, ensuring appropriate approvals and controls are followed. • Administer corporate credit card processes, including reconciliations and journal postings. • Support premium invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliations for direct business activities. • Prepare and post accounting journals, including cash movements, intercompany transactions, accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets. • Assist with month-end and quarter-end financial close activities. • Support the preparation of financial reports and provide information for external audits. • Work collaboratively across the Finance team to improve processes and support ad hoc projects. Must-Haves • Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role. • Experience with bank reconciliations, payment processing, and financial transaction posting. • Good understanding of month-end accounting processes. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using finance systems. • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to support the wider Finance team. • A-Level, degree, or equivalent finance qualification/experience.
