Finance Analyst - 12 month FTC £70,000 - £80,000 London – Flexible Hybrid working A well-known and leading global insurance company, are looking for a Finance Analyst. The role will require to work as part of UK Finance Team and report to Head of Change and Syndicate Finance. Responsibilities: • Play a leading role in the delivery of the company`s data transformation programme, providing detailed analysis as the company looks to streamline and simplify existing reporting processes and systems. • Working with Finance Systems, IT and Actuarial, developing consistent financial reporting infrastructure and aligning financial reporting processes across the company’s syndicates • Assist in aligning the two main syndicates processes and systems • Provide flexible support for the delivery of the syndicate result & the production of the balance sheet • Support the Syndicate Financial Controller in various monthly and quarterly accounting activities • Lead the testing in various finance projects • Developing and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, including leading the delivery of change • Assist in the offshoring of syndicate activities, suggesting future improvements to the current model • Investigate and analyse issues that arise, and provide summaries and recommendations to the Syndicate Financial Controller • Implement improvements to existing processes Skills and Experience: • Non-life insurance experience is essential • Experience of Lloyd’s / syndicates beneficial • Excellent Excel skills, including being able to produce complex spreadsheets that stand up to audit • Ability to review complex insurance and reinsurance contracts to identify contractual features • Understanding of insurance data flows • Able to drive change and work with stakeholders across the business
