Claims Manager London – Flexible hybrid working £80,000 - £95,000 A leading MGA are seeking a Claims Manager to support and report to the Head of Claims to deliver strategic initiatives and objectives during a period of significant growth. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: • Implement internal procedures and processes to effectively drive the strategic aims of the Company ensuring adherence and consistency across the team. • Implementation of the Claims Handling guidelines including claims handling strategy for complex claims and providing support and oversight to the wider team in regard to settlement strategies and management of external experts and lawyers. • Provide support to the Head of Claims to ensure reports and controls are in place to ensure appropriate management of the claims process and all internal and external reporting requirements are met. • Work in collaboration with the wider claims team sharing expertise and knowledge to drive and deliver the strategic aims. • Directly handle Complex Claims to a high standard, identifying and pursuing opportunities to create value and protect company position through proactive handling of claims. • Potential Line Manager function: Approve holidays/absences of the relevant team and conduct performance reviews and objective setting of the team to ensure all members are aware of the expectations within their role and to ensure their continued professional development. • Weekly reporting to the Head of Claims on significant new claims/claim movements/key milestones as well as claim KPIs You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience: • Good team working ethic with excellent customer service approach. • Ability to manage, develop and retain talented claim professionals. • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment, quickly identifying and solving problems. • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and other claims related software (e.g., Sequel and Trax).
